Nephrite of Bazhenovskoye Chrysotile–Asbestos Deposit, Middle Urals: Localization, Mineral Composition and Color

In the Bazhenovskoye chrysotile–asbestos deposit (Middle Urals), nephrite bodies of serpentinite type were found on contact after gabbro rodingites and serpentinites. The color is uniform to non-uniform, green light green, bluish greyish whitish. Spots, streaks, lenticules bright bluish-green or, contrary, are sometimes noted. mostly comprised tremolite. Chromite decreases quality ornamental stone, but it replaced by chrome grossular, which gives a brighter locally. Crushed grains chromite contain increased concentrations Zn Mn. decreased serpentine talc, as well fractures due drilling blasting works. specific feature in formation nickeline, maucherite, uvarovite. associated with Fe2+ ions. meets requirements for an stone. origin this includes combination metasomatic metamorphic processes.
